A doula is a non-medical professional who provides emotional, educational, and hands-on care throughout pregnancy, postpartum, and the early stages of parenthood. Postpartum doulas provide in-home care to the family after the baby is born.

While doula care can be beneficial at any stage, beginning during pregnancy allows families to enter the postpartum period with greater preparedness and intention. It’s much easier to prepare ahead of time than figure it all out in the midst of recovery and caring for a newborn.
That said, it is never too late to seek support. Many families don't realize how much help they need until after their baby arrives. Doulas can provide meaningful guidance, care, and encouragement throughout the first year postpartum as you adjust to the ever-changing needs of parenthood.

Prenatal care is tailored to your specific needs and desires for your upcoming birth. Topics we'll explore include: birth preferences, planning for how you want to feed your baby, physical recovery, partner support, and the practical and emotional adjustments that come with welcoming a new baby.
With extensive experience working within healthcare settings, I am uniquely positioned to help families preparing for birth to understand their options, navigate unexpected challenges, and communicate effectively with their care providers.

While pregnancy and birth are supported by a structured healthcare system with regular appointments, screenings, and check-ins, many families are surprised to discover how little support exists once the baby arrives. The postpartum period is one of the most significant transitions in a person's life, yet many new parents are left to navigate physical recovery, infant feeding, emotional changes, and identity shifts with minimal guidance.
As a doula, I help bridge that gap by providing consistent, compassionate support during a time when families deserve to be nurtured, informed, and cared for just as much as they were during pregnancy. You won’t be left alone trying to figure out how to feed the baby, feed yourself, care for your post-birth body, know whether or not “this is normal”, or whether you’re doing a good job. (Hint: you are!!)

Breastfeeding is a learned skill for both parent and baby. It is EXTREMELY normal to have questions or encounter challenges along the way. Common challenges I can provide support with include latch, positioning, milk supply, pumping, or feeding routines.
My role is to offer practical guidance and evidence-informed education as you discover what works best for you and your baby. I’m here to support your goals, and will never judge or persuade you from what your desires and preferences may be. You know what’s best for you and your baby.
If concerns arise that require specialized clinical care, I can also help connect you with trusted lactation professionals and community resources.
